Anguil Equipment & Technologies
Anguil’s product line addresses two core environmental compliance challenges — air pollution control and industrial wastewater treatment — with a comprehensive range of engineered technologies spanning thermal oxidation, catalytic oxidation, emission concentration, and water treatment systems.
Air Pollution Control — Thermal & Catalytic Oxidation
Anguil’s air pollution control technologies use time, temperature, and turbulence to convert VOCs, HAPs, and odorous hydrocarbons into water vapor, carbon dioxide, and recoverable thermal energy. Process equipment such as dryers, coaters, ovens, laminators, mixers, and paint booths are the primary stationary emission sources at industrial manufacturing facilities — and Anguil’s full range of oxidizer technologies allows an unbiased equipment selection matched to the destruction requirements, efficiency needs, and process parameters of each application.
- Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) — The most energy-efficient and cost-effective air pollution abatement technology available. RTOs recover and reuse thermal energy from the oxidation process through ceramic media heat exchange beds, dramatically reducing fuel consumption. Ideal for continuous processes with moderate to high VOC concentrations. Anguil RTOs are engineered for high destruction efficiency, reliable long-term operation, and simple PLC-based control — including remote telemetry and failsafe shutdowns. Available in standard and custom configurations for airflows from small to very large.
- Catalytic Recuperative Oxidizer (CATOX) — Catalytic oxidation allows destruction of VOCs and HAPs at significantly lower temperatures than thermal oxidation by using a precious metal catalyst bed in combination with a heat exchanger to preheat incoming contaminants. Lower operating temperatures mean lower fuel costs and lower NOx formation. Preferred for applications with relatively clean emission streams at moderate concentrations. Anguil CATOx systems include catalyst monitoring and management programs to maintain long-term destruction efficiency.
- Direct Fired Thermal Oxidizer (DFTO) — Designed for highly concentrated emission streams, a wide range of pollutant types, and applications with elevated destruction requirements. DFTOs use specialty burners to achieve the high combustion temperatures required for difficult or complex emission mixtures. Preferred for applications where energy recovery is less critical or emission stream characteristics make regenerative or recuperative designs impractical. Simple, robust design with minimal moving parts.
- Thermal Recuperative Oxidizer — Thermal energy generated from the oxidation process is recovered using a multi-pass metal shell-and-tube or plate heat exchanger to preheat the incoming emission stream before combustion. A cost-effective option for applications with intermittent or variable emission streams where the capital cost of a regenerative system cannot be justified. Reliable, straightforward design with lower capital cost than regenerative systems.
- Vapor Combustor Unit (VCU) — Suitable for continuous or intermittent processing operations, VCUs combine the simplicity of an enclosed flare with the efficiency of a conventional thermal oxidizer. Designed to handle variable VOC concentrations and flow rates — including applications where the emission stream can serve as a supplemental fuel source. Compact design and low capital cost make VCUs an effective solution for lower-flow applications and remote or temporary installations.
- Emission Concentrators — Emission concentrators reduce operating costs by converting high-volume, low-concentration emission streams into smaller, higher-concentration streams suited for destruction in a smaller oxidizer. Zeolite rotor concentrators are the most common configuration — the high-volume dilute stream passes through a rotating zeolite wheel that adsorbs VOCs, which are then desorbed with a small volume of hot air and routed to the oxidizer. Particularly effective for large-airflow paint booths, coating lines, and semiconductor fabs where direct oxidation of the full airflow would be prohibitively expensive.
- Pre-Owned & Rental Environmental Technologies — Anguil offers purchase and rental of pre-owned and fully refurbished oxidizers with a comprehensive warranty. An effective option for short-term compliance needs, pilot projects, seasonal operations, or budget-constrained situations where a new system cannot be immediately justified. Anguil’s refurbished systems are inspected, rebuilt, and warranted to the same standard as new equipment.
- Auxiliary Equipment — A full range of supplemental equipment to increase the effectiveness and capabilities of oxidation systems — including heat recovery systems for process heating or steam generation, quench systems, scrubbers for acid gas or particulate removal upstream of the oxidizer, concentrator systems, and custom ductwork, dampers, and stack designs. Anguil engineers each auxiliary system as an integrated part of the complete pollution control solution.
Industrial Wastewater Treatment
Anguil’s industrial wastewater treatment systems provide fully-integrated treatment trains designed to target solid and liquid pollutants from industrial manufacturing and remediation applications. From validation testing in the Anguil water lab through turnkey installation and commissioning, Anguil guides customers through the complete process — identifying treatment approaches, validating efficacy, and delivering systems that meet or exceed discharge and reuse standards while minimizing operating costs.
- Fully-Integrated Wastewater Treatment Systems — Custom-engineered treatment trains designed around each customer’s specific wastewater chemistry, regulatory discharge limits, reuse objectives, and capital and operating cost requirements. Anguil evaluates contaminants of concern (COCs), effluent chemistry, flow rates, and variability to select and integrate the appropriate combination of physical, chemical, and biological treatment technologies into a complete, validated system.
- Lab Testing & Validation — Anguil Water Lab — Before equipment is specified or purchased, Anguil’s water lab provides bench-scale testing to validate treatment efficacy for each customer’s specific wastewater, confirm COC removal to required levels, and establish the capital and operating cost basis for all viable treatment approaches. Lab validation eliminates technology risk before project commitment.
- Pilot Testing & Process Optimization — Onsite pilot testing provides further validation of the selected treatment approach at larger scale, optimizes process parameters, and refines CAPEX and OPEX estimates before full-scale design and procurement. Anguil manages pilot programs through equipment selection, installation, operation, and data interpretation.
- System Upgrades & Compliance Solutions — For facilities with existing wastewater treatment infrastructure, Anguil provides targeted upgrades to improve performance, meet tightened regulatory standards, reduce operating costs, or integrate with new production processes. Anguil engineers assess existing systems against current and projected compliance requirements and identify cost-effective upgrade paths.
