INDUSTRIAL DUST COLLECTORS — PULSE-JET BAGHOUSES & CARTRIDGE COLLECTORS

Since 1959, Flex-Kleen has been a global leader in industrial process dust control, product recovery, nuisance dust collection, and air pollution control. Now part of CECO Environmental, Flex-Kleen has more than 100,000 dust collectors ranging in size from 30 CFM to 100,000 CFM installed and operating in facilities worldwide — many still in service after 40 or more years. That record of durability and reliability is the foundation of everything Flex-Kleen builds.

Flex-Kleen systems are engineered to handle the most demanding industrial dust collection challenges: combustible and explosive dusts, corrosive air streams, hygroscopic materials, high-temperature applications, sanitary requirements, and extreme environments. Every system is custom-designed using a wide range of construction materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys — tailored to your specific application, height limitations, and size restrictions. And now, the new iSeries cartridge dust collector brings a plug-and-play option to facilities that need fast deployment without sacrificing performance, safety compliance, or durability.

Trotter Equipment has partnered with Flex-Kleen for over 40 years to deliver dust collection systems that keep operations safe, clean, and compliant across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. From initial system design and equipment selection through startup, troubleshooting, and ongoing parts support, our combined expertise ensures reliable performance in even the most demanding environments.

Flex-Kleen Equipment

Flex-Kleen manufactures two core product families — pulse-jet baghouse dust collectors for custom industrial applications, and the new iSeries cartridge dust collector for plug-and-play deployment — supported by a complete line of replacement parts and filtration media for all equipment in the field.

Pulse-Jet Baghouse Dust Collectors

Flex-Kleen’s original and most widely installed product line. Pulse-jet baghouses use short bursts of compressed air to clean filter bags on-line — without interrupting airflow — delivering continuous, high-efficiency dust collection for product recovery, large bin venting, and general industrial nuisance dust control. Every unit is custom-designed and configured for optimal performance in your specific application, with no two systems identical.

Each Flex-Kleen pulse-jet dust collector is built to last. Construction is welded 12-gauge hot rolled steel with flanged air inlet, outlet, and dust discharge connections. Available in a wide range of sizes, housing configurations, and filter bag counts to match any airflow requirement from small point-of-source collectors to large centralized baghouse systems.

  • Low Total Cost of Ownership — Minimal maintenance due to no internal moving parts in the cleaning system. Energy-efficient Smart Timer™ reduces compressed air consumption and energy costs by cleaning only when needed rather than on a fixed interval
  • Easy Installation — Completely assembled units or welded sections for fast field installation. Quick-mounting air headers arrive pre-wired and pre-piped, reducing installation time and contractor labor
  • Flexible Bag Removal Options — Models available with bottom bag removal for standard applications or patented Trap10™ top bag removal for applications where bottom access is restricted or where maintenance personnel prefer to work from above
  • Quick Bag Replacement Design — Snap-in bag and cage design minimizes filter replacement time and downtime
  • Heavy-Duty Construction — Heavy-gauge NORYL™ venturis and heavy-duty smooth galvanized cages for long service life. 20-inch diameter top access ports to the clean air plenum for inspection and maintenance
  • NEMA 4 Weathertight Electricals — Suitable for outdoor installation without additional enclosures
  • Weatherproof Walk-In Clean Air Plenum — Available on top bag removal models for safe, protected access to the clean air side during bag inspection and replacement
  • Structural Support — Corner saddle supports through 96-bag size; six-inch girth channel for continuous support on larger units
  • NFPA-Compliant Safety Options — Explosion venting, isolation valves, abort gates, and suppression systems for combustible dust applications in compliance with NFPA 68 and NFPA 69
  • Custom Materials of Construction — Carbon steel, stainless steel (304 and 316L), and exotic alloys for corrosive, high-temperature, and sanitary applications

Pulse-jet baghouse applications include: chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, mining and minerals, coal and fly ash handling, kilns, boilers, dryers, mixers, food and beverage ingredient handling, plastics compounding, metal powders, woodworking, and general industrial dust collection.
